York County Food Inspections: All 69 Earn A Grades; Clover Pizza Hut Returns to A

Every York County food establishment inspected Oct. 6–13 received an A grade, including Clover’s Pizza Hut, which earned an A during a follow-up inspection after receiving a B the previous week.

The South Carolina Department of Agriculture conducted 69 food establishment inspections in York County from Oct. 6 through Oct. 13, with all 69 resulting in A grades.

The inspections included restaurants, schools, grocery stores, convenience stores and other food-service operations across the county. Several establishments also received A grades during follow-up inspections.

Among the notable results was Pizza Hut at 801 Bethel St. in Clover, which returned to an A grade during an Oct. 8 follow-up inspection. The restaurant had received a B with a score of 95 on Oct. 2 after inspectors identified expired sanitizer test strips and several equipment and facility maintenance issues.

The latest A grade marks an improvement from the previous week’s inspection.
