Earth Fare Deli at 725 Cherry Road in Rock Hill received a B grade with a score of 82 during an Aug. 13 routine inspection. Inspectors cited multiple priority and priority-foundation violations, including handwashing sinks that did not reach the required temperature, a hand sink without a drying provision and sanitizer at the three-compartment sink testing at 0 parts per million.

Inspectors also found several cold-held foods above required temperatures. Shredded cheese was measured at 48 degrees, eggs at 44, broccoli salad and green beans at 46, ranch dressing at 48 and chicken salad at 44. In the bakery cooler, cheesecake was measured at 48 degrees, while crème brûlée and tiramisu were each at 58 degrees.

The inspection also cited inconsistent date marking, an inability to determine disposition dates for many foods held longer than 24 hours, butane containers and cleaning products stored with food products at a bakery preparation table, evidence of pests in the dish area and single-use cups stored on the floor. Inspectors noted that several violations were not corrected during the inspection and required verification. A follow-up inspection was required within 10 days.
