Quilted Ornament Workshops Bring Holiday Creativity to Downtown York

Three beginner-friendly workshops in November and December offer participants a chance to create handmade holiday ornaments at Spinning Out Pottery Studio.

YORK, S.C. — Residents looking to add a personal touch to their holiday decorations can try their hand at making quilted ornaments during a series of workshops in downtown York this November and December.

The Quilted Ornament Workshops will take place at Spinning Out Pottery Studio, located at 26A North Congress Street, offering participants an opportunity to create their own ready-to-hang holiday ornament.

Designed for beginners, each two-hour session provides hands-on instruction, with all materials included. Participants will complete an ornament from start to finish, creating a handmade decoration to take home or give as a holiday gift.

Three workshops are scheduled:

• Sunday, Nov. 8: 3:30–5:30 p.m. Registration closes Wednesday, Nov. 4.
• Saturday, Dec. 12: 4:30–6:30 p.m.
• Friday, Dec. 18: 5:30–7:30 p.m.

Tickets are $55 per person, and each session is limited to 15 participants to allow for personalized instruction.

The workshops offer a creative way to celebrate the holiday season while spending time in downtown York, whether attending individually or with friends and family.

Registration: Participants can view workshop details and reserve a spot online. Advance registration is encouraged because of the limited class sizes.
