Weekly Summary

Pilatus aircraft were a recurring theme at Rock Hill/York County Airport during the reporting period, but the week's business aviation activity also included a Citation X, Falcon 900, Embraer Praetor 500, Phenom 300, CitationJet and several King Airs.

One of the week's standout visitors was a Cessna Citation X operating as TCN774, which arrived Wednesday afternoon from Morristown, N.J. The Jet Excellence-operated aircraft remained at Rock Hill for several days before departing Monday for Little Rock, Ark.

Friday produced another notable jet movement when Embraer Praetor 500 N780JH, registered to Jack Henry & Associates, arrived from the Dallas area and spent just 16 minutes at Rock Hill before continuing to Hanscom Field outside Boston.

Pilatus aircraft were particularly prevalent. Multiple PC-24s appeared during the week, while PC-12s connected Rock Hill with destinations in Florida, Maryland, Tennessee, Kentucky, Arkansas and elsewhere. Tuesday alone featured three PC-12 arrivals.

The Charlotte-area Falcon 900 N70FK also continued its recurring Rock Hill activity, departing Sunday for Spirit of St. Louis Airport. A Fort Mill-registered Citation V/Ultra added a particularly interesting international movement Sunday, stopping at Rock Hill after arriving from Westchester County, N.Y., before departing for Marsh Harbour in the Bahamas.

As usual, the airport's overall traffic included substantially more activity than is individually listed in Agenda PJ's, with flight training, locally based piston aircraft and medical helicopter operations accounting for many of the remaining movements.

Tuesday Flight Notes

Tuesday's notable activity included three Pilatus PC-12 turboprops, with flights connecting Rock Hill to Maryland, Tennessee and Kentucky, along with a Piper PA-31-350 Chieftain arriving from Anderson, S.C.

PC-12 N331NG arrived shortly after 2 a.m. from Carroll County Regional Airport in Maryland and returned there Tuesday morning. The aircraft is registered to Skytech Inc. of Westminster, Md. A second PC-12, N264WF, arrived during the afternoon from Knoxville Downtown Island Airport in Tennessee.

The day's third PC-12, N864RJ, arrived Tuesday evening from Barkley Regional Airport in Paducah, Ky. The 2023 PC-12/47E is registered to Jim Smith Contracting Company LLC of Grand Rivers, Ky. No Tuesday departure was recorded for either N264WF or N864RJ.

Piper Chieftain N676AR, registered to Blackdog Air LLC of Belton, S.C., arrived during the afternoon from Anderson Regional Airport. Other longer-distance activity included a Mooney M20C departure for Pensacola, Fla., and a Cirrus SR22T departure for Indianapolis.

Thursday brought a particularly active mix of business aviation to Rock Hill, led by a Pilatus PC-24, two Pilatus PC-12s, a Cessna CitationJet and a King Air 350.

The King Air 350, N557AP, made two visits during the day, flying between Rock Hill, Charleston and Raleigh-Durham before returning to Charleston. CitationJet N817HC also recorded multiple movements, arriving first from Alabama and later returning from Davidson County Executive Airport before departing for Shelby County Regional Airport.

A Pilatus PC-12 using the FFL1445 call sign made a brief 13-minute stop before continuing to Chattanooga, while a second PC-12, N782DL, arrived late in the afternoon from Lincoln County Regional Airport. A PlaneSense-style PC-24 movement was also recorded with call sign CNS888.
